GPSR Terms and Conditions
Auto Circuit Solutions Limited, trading as Essex Recons (“we”, “us”, “our”), is committed to supplying products that are safe and compliant with applicable product-safety law. This statement explains how we meet our obligations under the EU General Product Safety Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2023/988) (“GPSR”), which has applied since 13 December 2024.
When the GPSR applies
The GPSR governs the safety of consumer products placed on the market in the European Union and Northern Ireland. It applies to orders where goods are supplied to a consumer located in the EU or in Northern Ireland. Sales to customers in Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales) are governed by UK product-safety law rather than by the GPSR.

Product safety
We specialise in the repair, reconditioning and exchange of automotive electronic components, including instrument clusters, ECUs, ABS modules, turbo actuators and related units. Before dispatch, units are bench-tested and quality-checked. Where a product requires particular handling, fitting, calibration or reprogramming, this is stated in the product description and/or in the information supplied with the item.
- Products are supplied with any safety information, warnings and instructions necessary for their safe installation and use.
- We only supply products that, under normal or reasonably foreseeable conditions of use, we consider to be safe.
- We retain the relevant technical and testing documentation for the products we supply.
Traceability
We keep records of the products we supply, including order references and, where applicable, batch or serial identifiers, so that any product can be traced through our supply chain. This information is made available to market-surveillance authorities on request.
Reporting a safety concern
If you believe a product supplied by us presents a safety risk, please stop using it and contact us immediately at [email protected] or on 01708 206343, quoting your order number. We will investigate promptly, cooperate with the relevant authorities and, where necessary, take corrective action — which may include repair, replacement, recall or withdrawal.
